Paul R. Haeder, M.D.
Dr. Paul Haeder is a fellowship-trained sports medicine orthopedic surgeon with a strong interest in joint preservation and cartilage restoration. He has extensive surgical expertise in shoulder replacement, partial and total knee replacement, anterior total hip replacement, and advanced arthroscopic surgery for the shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle.
In Vermillion, South Dakota, Dr. Haeder received his Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the University of South Dakota and his medical degree from the university’s school of medicine. After a surgical internship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, he went to Wichita, Kansas, to complete his orthopedic surgery residency training at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Following his residency, Dr. Haeder elected to undergo additional training with a sports medicine fellowship at Sports Orthopedic and Rehabilitation (SOAR) in San Francisco, California.
In addition to providing his patients exceptional orthopedic care at the practice, Dr. Haeder also provides care for the Sugar Bowl Ski Team.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids as well as keeping active by playing golf and soccer, hiking, trail running with his dog, and exploring the outdoors.
